Founded in 1823 in Ibaraki, Kiuchi Brewery has spent more than 200 years mastering the art of Japanese sake. But its story is also one of reinvention.
In 1996, Kiuchi turned its centuries of brewing knowledge toward craft beer, creating Hitachino Nest Beer. The distinctive owl-branded beers quickly gained international recognition, establishing Kiuchi as one of Japan’s most celebrated craft breweries.
Today, Kiuchi continues to explore new possibilities across sake, beer, whisky and other spirits, always combining traditional craftsmanship with curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
